6 x 4 mile island off the coast of Florida! Marco has truly retained its natural beauty since the Calusa Indians inhabited the island over 5,000 years ago. The blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico invite all to spend endless hours in the sun, enjoying beautiful white sugar sand beaches, fishing or just to relax! As a young girl, although I was focused on my academics, I did enjoy year-round sunbathing and fishing, which the island offers...along with shelling, snorkeling, windsurfing, great restaurants and shopping.
