Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation

The Museum is located in Historic Downtown Fayetteville.
The museum has become a place to honor the airborne and special operations troops who have defended our nation’s interests. The museum is free, it has a main exhibit gallery, temporary gallery, four-story tall theater, and a motion simulator ride.

Cape Fear Regional Theater

Cape Fear Regional Theater has been in service for over 40 years, throughout which it has delighted spectators with musicals, comedies and classic drama shows. The theater occupies a three-story building and has a main stage seating 327. Winter festive season is particularly high for the Cape Fear as it gets overwhelmed with crowds of excited kids who come here to see "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever".

Veterans Park

Adjacent to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum, The Veterans Park pays tribute to all U.S. military veterans (Air Force, Army, Navy). Visitors to the museum can see a short movie and displays about the military operations North Carolina soldiers have taken part in. Also on display is the Veterans Table and the 3,500-square-foot chandelier made up of 33,500 “dog tags” (Look up or you will miss it).

1897 Poe House

The Edgar Allan "E. A." Poe House is a historic location which, surprisingly, has nothing to do with the famous American writer, Edgar Allan Poe. It is named after a prominent entrepreneur, politician, and civic leader who built it in 1897. The house was lived in until 1988 and, recently, has been restored to its original condition. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Mazarick Park

Mazarick Park caters to a variety of recreational activities, be it fishing, walking, disc golfing or picnicking. There's no shortage of playground facilities either, all of which are new and up to date. The park also makes an ideal location for parties.

Terry Sanford High School

Terry Sanford High School is a public high school in Fayetteville, NC. It bears the name of Terry Sanford, who was a North Carolina state senator, Governor of North Carolina and a U.S. Senator. The school teaches grades 9-12 and is run by the Cumberland County School District, being one of the longest operating schools in the area.
