A. Alfred Taubman Health Care Center (Taubman center) opened in 1986. The four-story building is home to 120 specialty outpatient clinics and faculty offices for most clinical departments. Arborland Shopping Center

Arborland Center is a shopping center that opened in 1961 as an unenclosed shopping mall. It was then redeveloped as a power center in 1998. Current anchor stores at the center include Marshalls, PetSmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Toys-R-Us.


Westgate Shopping Center

Westgate Shopping Center is a 183,000 square foot retail shopping center with both local and national tenants, located on the west side near I-94 and Jackson Road. Tenants include: Siam Kitchen Best Thai food in Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor District Library West Branch, Barry Bagels, Nicola's Books, Scrapbook Haven, Play It Again Sports, Rite Aid, Star's Cafe, TJ Maxx, Zingerman's Roadhouse.

Ann Arbor District Library: Downtown Library

The Ann Arbor District Library (AADL) is a public library system that serves the residents of Ann Arbor. The Downtown Library was dedicated in 1957 and had building additions in 1974 and 1991. AADL also includes four branch libraries: Malletts Creek, Traverwood, Pittsfield and West. The library system holds over 490,000 materials – books, DVDs, compact discs, magazines, audio books and other formats – most of which are equipped with RFID tags. More than 1.5 million people visited the AADL system in 2011-12, and circulation of library materials topped 8.5 million. In 1997, the Library was named “National Library of the Year” by Library Journal, being the first library in Michigan to receive the honor.

Briarwood Mall

Briarwood Mall is a shopping mall in Ann Arbor. The mall's four anchor stores are Macy's, JCPenney, Sears, and Von Maur. Surrounded by office and other development, the mall anchors the southern Ann Arbor commercial area around Eisenhower Boulevard and I-94. It serves as the primary shopping mall for all of Washtenaw County. Many restaurants, hotels and stores surround the mall.


Argo Nature Area

Argo Nature Area is a linear park stretching along the Huron River. The park is most famed for its unpaved trail which runs alongside the river and offers joggers and bicyclists a scenic place to exercise and relax at the same time.

Gallup Park

Gallup Park is a very popular park in Ann Arbor. Its 69 acres offer visitors plenty of open green spaces, two playgrounds, a canoe livery, picnic areas, and miles of paved trails. The park is located along the Huron River and offers amazing scenery.

Camp Hilltop Park

Camp Hilltop Park is a passive park wedged between the Kuebler Langford Nature area and the Bird Hills Nature Area. The park offers rich carpets of wildflowers and spectacular views of the Huron River valley.

Buhr Park

Buhr Park is a 39 (160,000 m2) acre park with rolling hills, picnic areas with barbecue grills, a children's play area, softball diamonds, soccer fields and outdoor tennis courts. There is also a large public swimming pool and a smaller children's wading pool with interactive toys. The Cobblestone Farm and Museum are both located on the park grounds. The Buhr Outdoor Ice Arena and Cross Country Ski Center facilitates winter sports such as ice skating and hockey. It provides groomed trails for skiing set by snowmobile as well as rental, equipment, locker rooms, etc.


North Campus Recreation Building

Part of the University of Michigan's North Campus, the rec center offers such amenities like: full size pool, free weights, cardio machines, several basketball, volleyball, badminton, racquetball courts.

Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center

The Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center has been serving Ann Arbor since 1991, and has remained as popular as the day it opened. The center offers 51,000 sq. ft. of recreation and fitness, from a well equipped gym to a standard sized pool with multiple lanes, aerobics classes, and basketball court.


Ann Arbor YMCA (The Young Men's Christian Association)

The Ann Arbor YMCA is a fully equipped 8200 sq. ft. sports complex. It offers members a large variety of options, like two swimming pools (one for lap swimmers and one of families and kids), fully equipped gym, saunas, yoga classes, dance classes, and much more.

Veterans Memorial Park

The Veterans Memorial Park is home to a variety of amenities, several baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, exercise facilities, swimming pool, and indoor skate rink. The park also offers plenty of open green spaces, picnic spots and water fountains.
