Veterans Memorial Park

The Veterans Memorial Park is home to a variety of amenities, several baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, exercise facilities, swimming pool, and indoor skate rink. The park also offers plenty of open green spaces, picnic spots and water fountains.

Outdoor Adventures Center

Outdoor Adventures' full service rental facility offers quality and affordable outdoor and recreational equipment to U of M students, faculty, staff, alumni, as well as community members. The Rental Center has a wide range of items available to rent - tents, backpacks, and stoves to volleyball sets and tug-o-war ropes! Ann Arbor YMCA (The Young Men's Christian Association)

The Ann Arbor YMCA is a fully equipped 8200 sq. ft. sports complex. It offers members a large variety of options, like two swimming pools (one for lap swimmers and one of families and kids), fully equipped gym, saunas, yoga classes, dance classes, and much more.

Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center

The Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center has been serving Ann Arbor since 1991, and has remained as popular as the day it opened. The center offers 51,000 sq. ft. of recreation and fitness, from a well equipped gym to a standard sized pool with multiple lanes, aerobics classes, and basketball court.

Gallup Canoe Livery

The Gallup Canoe Livery offers water-sport fans a wonderful way to spend a day on the Huron River, either by canoe, kayak, paddleboat or rowboat. The livery offers special programs and trips besides the straight out rentals.

Argo Canoe Livery

Argo Canoe Livery is located at the south-end of the Argo Nature Area, at the Argo Cascades. Besides canoes, the livery offers kayaks, rafts, paddleboards, and tubes for rent as well.

Mack Indoor Pool

Mack Indoor Pool is a swimming complex offering two pools, one adult 25-yard, six-lane pool, and one children's 30 by 42 ft. Both pools are not only indoor and available throughout the year, but are also heated to make swimming possible in the cold Michigan winter.

North Campus Recreation Building

Part of the University of Michigan's North Campus, the rec center offers such amenities like: full size pool, free weights, cardio machines, several basketball, volleyball, badminton, racquetball courts.

Buhr Park

Buhr Park is a 39 (160,000 m2) acre park with rolling hills, picnic areas with barbecue grills, a children's play area, softball diamonds, soccer fields and outdoor tennis courts. There is also a large public swimming pool and a smaller children's wading pool with interactive toys. The Cobblestone Farm and Museum are both located on the park grounds. The Buhr Outdoor Ice Arena and Cross Country Ski Center facilitates winter sports such as ice skating and hockey. It provides groomed trails for skiing set by snowmobile as well as rental, equipment, locker rooms, etc.

West Park

West Park is a popular area in Ann Arbor, it is home to a bandshell offering concerts, some of the most beautiful Oak trees in town, softball field, basketball court, tennis courts, volleyball posts, picnic tables, playground, and more !

Camp Hilltop Park

Camp Hilltop Park is a passive park wedged between the Kuebler Langford Nature area and the Bird Hills Nature Area. The park offers rich carpets of wildflowers and spectacular views of the Huron River valley.

Bird Hills Nature Area

Bird Hills Nature Area stretches along the Huron River and is the city's largest park. Bird Hills is a thoroughly passive park, the area is accessible only by foot, even bicycles are forbidden. The park does offer unpaved trails which are filled with amazing scenery and are a true sanctuary for hikers looking to get away from the city.

Gallup Park

Gallup Park is a very popular park in Ann Arbor. Its 69 acres offer visitors plenty of open green spaces, two playgrounds, a canoe livery, picnic areas, and miles of paved trails. The park is located along the Huron River and offers amazing scenery.

Lawton Park

Lawton Park is a small, 5 acre park located right behind the Lawton Elementary School. It offers a softball field and a soccer field, and is often frequented by the school's students.

Mary Beth Doyle Park

Mary Beth Doyle Park is home to a large disc golf course traversing the entire park. The park also offers a playground, basketball court, multipurpose fields, picnic spots and tables, benches, and more.


Argo Nature Area

Argo Nature Area is a linear park stretching along the Huron River. The park is most famed for its unpaved trail which runs alongside the river and offers joggers and bicyclists a scenic place to exercise and relax at the same time.
