Riverside Park

Riverside Park is a small park famed for its duck pond. Locals often come here primarily to just feed the ducks and enjoy a relaxing stroll. However the park does offer quite a few more amenities, it is home to a basketball court, picnic tables, a playground, and countless benches.

Memorial Park

Memorial Park is a 5.85-acre (23,700 m2) public park, located on the St. Johns River in Riverside, one of the most historic neighborhoods near downtown Jacksonville, Florida. It is the third oldest park in the city. The park was founded in 1919, right after the end of the first world war and was dedicated to the memory of the 1200 Floridians who died in that war. Memorial Park may be small, but it is a true local gem and a big favorite amongst the residents of Jacksonville. It is a simple, passive park, but offers a wonderful respite from the city life, with its impressive vegetation, easy paths, benches to relax on, and the promenade along St. John's River.

Willowbranch Park

Willowbranch Park is a small park, but has a lot to offer visitors. It offers six basketball courts, plenty of benches, picnic spots, playground, and a youth softball field. The park is also home to the Willowbranch Rose Garden, a beautiful little garden with two rose beds and a bench for relaxing.

Boone Park

Boone Park is a mid-size neighborhood park with lots of amenities to offer visitors. It is home to sixteen (16) tennis courts, countless benches, picnic tables, grills, and a very well equipped playground area.

Fishweir Park

Fishweir Park is a small park which offers plenty of open grassy spaces, a basketball court, plenty of benches, picnic tables, playground equipment, and a softball youth field.

Jacksonville Fencing Club

The Jacksonville Fencing Club is a local landmark, it has been opened since the 1950s. The club welcomes everyone, from complete novice to competitive fencers; age limit is 8 to 98.

Robert E Lee Pool

Part of the Robert E. Lee High School, Lee Pool is used by the athletic teams and physical education classes during the school year. In the summer, it becomes a free public pool operated by the City of Jacksonville Parks & Recreation Department.

St. Vincent's Medical Center Riverside

St. Vincent's Medical Center Riverside is a 528-bed full service tertiary care Catholic hospital that is located in the Riverside area. It is the largest non-profit Catholic hospital in the United States and is owned by St. Vincent's HealthCare. The hospital was launched in 1916 by the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. St. Vincent's HealthCare is home to the largest cardiovascular program between Atlanta and Orlando, and the program continues to grow with the recent opening of the Gary & Nancy Chartrand Heart and Vascular Center on the campus at St. Vincent's Medical Center.

Shoppes of Avondale

The "Shoppes of Avondale" is an upscale shopping center comprising about 46 storefronts on St. Johns Avenue. It dates back to the 1920s, when Avondale was first developed. Its small-scale buildings were designed to blend with the residential neighborhood; the most notable is a 1927 edifice designed by Henry J. Klutho in partnership with Fred S. Cates and Albert N. Cole at 3556-3560 St. Johns Avenue. The center was renovated in 2010 under Jacksonville's Town Center Program, which allocated funds for revitalizing neighborhood commercial districts.
