Whether you like to sit back and soak up some sunrays or take a walk or surf on one of the most popular beaches, New Smyrna has plenty to offer. Let’s not forget Flagler Avenue and Canal Street that have cute boutiques and plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Flagler Avenue

Taking a walk down Flagler Avenue is most definitely a place where you can enjoy good music, food and plenty of shopping around. There is always something going on to get you to have fun. Flagler Avenue is home of the Wine Walk, Art shows, parades and much much more. This is a spot you can’t miss.

Beach Patrol Headquarters

The Beach Patrol is located on New Smyrna Beach just south of Flagler Avenue. You will find them on the beaches patrolling and insuring that all safety and rules are being followed. The beaches are a beautiful place to visit and you can always feel assured that someone is always there to help you.

Canal Street

If you enjoy the feeling of being in a small Historic town - this is definitely the place. I've had plenty of good times shopping at the many art shows and specialty shops. Canal Street also offers Car Shows, business expos and holiday events. This street has all the charm and gives you the feeling of somewhere back in time.

Boat Ramp

If boating is your adventure, there are plenty of Marinas and docks to fit everyone's needs. Going fishing or just enjoying a day floating down the intercostal can be truly unforgettable here in New Smyrna. The intercostal has plenty of wildlife to admire while the manatees that can make anyone fall in love.

US Coast Guard

The U.S. Coast Guard is located on the beachside at the very north end of Peninsula. With it being one of the five armed forces of the United States, it gives you a good feeling knowing that they are around. Don't be surprised if you see them around the intercostal or Atlantic. They are looking to ensure everyone’s safety, protect the environment and are part of Homeland Security.

Toni & Joe's

Toni & Joe's is located right on the beach. It’s a great way to start your day with a beach view breakfast and great music. Nothing like having a Bloody Mary with one of their Mexican burritos. If you prefer the afternoon, Toni & Joes also has lunch menus along with full bar and always the Ocean right in front.

New Smyrna Inlet

The Inlet at New Smyrna Beach is one of the most surfed spots around. It always seems to have some action to catch a wave. Just make sure you have your sunscreen and watch. Once you get out to ride the waves you really loose track of time. In the winter months the temperature is still cold and one would require a wetsuit for some warmth.

Bouchelle Island

Bouchelle Island offers the tranquility of the river and all that nature provides. If you enjoy watching sunsets and sunrises this is the perfect spot. Along with that Bouchelle has a pitch and put golf course, 2 heated pools, boat slips, shuffle board and tennis. Located right off the South Bridge.

Marine Discovery Center

The Marine Discovery Center does everything it can to make sure the Indian River Lagoon continues to be healthy and the ecosystem is preserved so all can enjoy its beauty and wildlife. They offer a wide range of classes and camps for youth and adults to take part in learning about the ecosystem. They also have boat and kayak guided tours that will take you on an adventure that will be educational and unforgettable.

National Park

If you take A1A as far south as you can go. You will be able to enter the National Park with much wildlife and nature to enjoy. You will have access to the beach, river and plenty of walk areas to hike. So load up the picnic basket and beach towels. Make sure to bring a camera because you never know what or who you might capture - birds, manatees and many other animals can get at arm’s length!
