Top 17 Neighborhood Amenities in Casas Adobes, Tucson, AZ

Casas Adobes is a community with nearly 60,000 inhabitants established in 1940 that encompasses an area of 23 square miles. Although it is an unincorporated area, it is older than the towns of Oro Valley and Marana. The neighborhood is notable for its upscale shopping center, Casas Adobes Plaza, the only shopping mall in the community, Foothills Mall, as well as Northwest Medical Center, and the botanical park Tohono Chul Park. Use this guide to get acquainted with some of the most prominent sites in this neighborhood.

Casas Adobes Park

Casas Adobes Park is a small park, but features a good number of amenities: Basketball court, lighted; Drinking water; Playground; 2 Ramadas with table and grill; Restrooms.

Plaza Del Oro (shopping)

Recently renovated, Plaza del Oro is one of the largest and busiest shopping centers in the area. It offers shoppers several anchor stores, such as Ace Hardware and CVS Drug, and a wide variety of smaller shops and boutiques. The center is also home to three restaurants and other entertainment venues.

Casas Adobes Plaza (shopping)

Casas Adobes Plaza is an upscale shopping mall located at the southwest corner of North Oracle Road and East Ina Road in Casas Adobes, just northwest of Tucson. Casas Adobes Plaza, was designed by a protégé of renowned Swiss architect Josias Joesler in the late 1940s. The plaza features Spanish Colonial architecture, becoming a landmark of Southern Arizona. With three charming breezeways resplendent in Mediterranean vignette motifs, elegant Spanish tile roofing, abundant landscaping with native plants, cascading vines and blooms, visitors can enjoy meandering along shaded walkways, perusing shops or stopping to relax in casual seating surrounded by pristine water features accented with hand-forged Mexican lighting fixtures.

The Omni Tucson National Resort (golf)

Besides the award-winning spa, 128 oversized guest rooms and amazing cuisine, The Omni Tucson National Resort also offers two championship golf courses. The resort was awarded Conde’ Nast Silver award and was on Golf Digest's "75 Best Golf Resorts in North America". It offers two 18-hole courses, which are well suited for players of any level, as well as a pro shop and practice areas.

Quail Canyon Golf Course

Quail Canyon Golf Course is a Tucson landmark, it was designed by Gil Kammert and has been open since 1964. Quail Canyon offers three 18-hole desert golf courses set on the backdrop of the Catalina Mountains.
The course is also home to excellent facilities for weddings, other events and golf tournaments.

Casas Adobes Pet Clinic

Tohono Chul Park

Tohono Chul is a botanical garden, nature preserve and cultural museum located in Casas Adobes. The words "tohono chul" translate as "desert corner" and are borrowed from the language of the Tohono O’odham, the indigenous people of southern Arizona. The mission of Tohono Chul is to enrich people's lives by connecting them with the wonders of nature, art and culture in the Sonoran Desert region and inspiring wise stewardship of the natural world.

The 49-acre (19.8 ha) site itself offers a dramatic setting for Tohono Chul’s regional focus. Views of the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains form a backdrop for the natural desert habitat and its location within existing migratory tracks provides a temporary home for many species of wild, native fauna. Thirty-eight species of birds make their permanent home here while another 57 migrant species visit seasonally, and a variety of reptiles and mammals, from Gila monsters to bobcats, may be spotted on the grounds.

Saguaro Aquatics & Tennis

Saguaro Aquatics and Tennis offers lessons for children and adults. Indoor pools are open year round and offer beginner, intermediate and advanced swimming lessons. The center also offers pool parties, such as: Basic Pool Party, Scuba Party, Carnival Party, Night at the Movies.
The tennis center offers group and private tennis lessons, as well as Tennis Video Analysis and Ball Machine time.

Arthur Pack Regional Park

Arthur Pack Regional Park offers visitors the following amenities: Baseball Fields, lighted; Basketball Courts; Batting Cages; Drinking Water; Golf Course; Hiking Trails; Playground with Shade;
Ramadas with table and grill; Restrooms; Soccer Fields; Softball Fields, lighted.


Denny Dunn Neighborhood Park

Denny Dunn Neighborhood Park offers visitors a number of amenities: 2 Baseball Fields; Basketball Court, lighted; Drinking Water; 2 Picnic tables and grill; Playground; Ramada with tables and grill; Restrooms; Soccer Field/Football Field.

Linda Vista Neighborhood Park

Linda Vista Park is a small park, but offers plenty of amenities like: 1/2 court basketball; 4 picnic tables with grill; playground; 1 ramada with table and grill; volleyball court; walking paths.

Spanish Trail Outfitters

Spanish Trail Outfitters offer visitors the chance to horseback across the scenic trails of the Sonoran Desert and the Catalina Mountains foothills. The trails themselves offer an amazing view of the surrounding mountains and the Tucson valley.

Foothills Mall

Foothills Mall is an indoor regional shopping mall located on the Northwest Side of Tucson, in the community of Casas Adobes. Foothills Mall features over 90 stores and outlets for consumers and/or tourists, along with 8 restaurants and the AMC Foothills 15 Theatres. The mall boasts tenants including Old Navy Outlet, Nike Factory Store, Bath and Body Works, a 15-screen AMC Loews Theaters / IMAX Theater, Applebee’s, Outback Steakhouse, and World Sports Grille.

Nanini Branch Public Library

Nanini Branch Public Library offers visitors a large collection of books, audio and video cds, e-books, free computer and WiFi use, a large meeting room (Occupancy: 95), and a smaller conference room (Occupancy: 12). The library is also equipped with Induction Loop Technology to transmit sounds directly to a hearing aid's built-in wireless T-coil receiver.
