Leonard is a small town in northern Oakland County. With farm fields and a corner barber shop, you don't feel like you're only 20-25 minutes away from the "big box" super stores like Meijer and Home Depot. Many residential lots offer space and privacy - with 2-acre minimum lots just outside of the Village. Residents enjoy the annual Strawberry Festival hosted by the top-rated Addison Township Fire Department.

The Leonard School

The Leonard School is part of the Oxford School District and it is The Village's elementary school. It offers learning for preschool, kindergarten and children of First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades, including School of Choice and International Baccalaureate. Classes include Physical Education, Foreign Languages, Art, Music.

Polly Ann Trail

The Polly Ann Trail is one of Oakland County's "Rails to Trails" project. As trains no longer pass through the towns to support product transportation, the trails went unused and unmaintained. Now, each county takes on their own section - paving or grading, trimming trees and weeds and excessive growth - to allow residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy nature's beauty! No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail, but you'll find bikers, walkers, runners and even horseback riders!

Addison Oaks County Park

Addison Oaks is a lovely park situated in northeast Oakland County. The campground consists from 174 campsites that are well equipped and modern with electricity and water on site. There are a lot of activities in the park such as swimming, camping, fishing, hiking, mountain biking or boating, there are ball fields, volleyball nets, children's playground and traditional fireworks for July 4th.

The Celtic Knot

The Celtic Knot - formerly The Lakeville Inn. New owners, new menu, new look! Common stop for those enjoying a "country day drive" through the area. Beers on tap. Seafood specials - tilapia, calamari, shrimp, whitefish. Live entertainment on occasion.

Addison Township Library

The Addison Township Library is open and available to all Addison Township residents. It offers lectures, children's reading groups, fax services, computer access, free wireless Internet, adult, teen and children sections, genealogy groups, knitting sessions, job fairs and various other activities open to all residents!

Lakeville Lake

Lakeville Lake is an all-sports lake located in Leonard.
At 460 acres, this beautiful lake allows residents and visitors alike the ability to enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming and ice fishing. My tip would be to get there early during prime fishing days as the boat ramp parking lot fills quickly!

Strawberry Festival

Every year on the third Saturday in July is the traditional Strawberry Festival day. At its very beginning this holiday consisted in the Volunteer Fire Department serving out Strawberry Sundaes. Nowadays it is much more fun and includes a lot of activities and all-day entertainment such as a parade, craft show, car show, rides for the children, fire truck rides, and more.
