La Paloma Country Club

La Paloma Country Club offers a 27-hole golf course designed by the renowned Jack Nicklaus, in fact this course is considered to be one of his best creations. The course is one of the best maintained in the area and offers players both a challenging game and amazing views of the mountain ranges nearby.

Lodge At Ventana Canyon

The Lodge at Ventana Canyon is much more than just a lodge. Besides its beautiful location, just against the backdrop of the Santa Catalina Mountains, it offers a country club and 36-hole golf club. The location alone is worth the visit, but if you also happen to be a golf fan, the two 18-hole championship courses designed by Tom Fazio will offer you an amazing gameplay, suited for all levels.

Dusenberry River Branch Library

Dusenberry River Branch Library was remodeled and renewed in 2008 and now provides a set of modern facilities along with an impressive book collection. The library offers a computer lab, WiFi access, as well as full access for people with disabilities.

La Rosa Health Care Center

La Rosa Health Care Center is a nursing home in Catalina Foothills, located just by the Santa Catalina Natural Area. The center received 3 out of 5 overall rating from the CMS of the Dept of Health and Human Services. It has an occupancy of 39 residents out of 42 max. The center is a member of the Medicare system.

Sabino Canyon Visitor Center and Bookstore

The Sabino Canyon Visitor Center offers visitors information about trails in the canyon, points of interest, as well as plants and animals found in the area.
The book store offers a large collection of paper books, audio and videotapes about the area, as well as an extended gift shop.

Sabino Canyon

Sabino Canyon is a significant canyon located in the Santa Catalina Mountains and the Coronado National Forest north of Tucson. Sabino Canyon is a popular recreation area for residents and visitors of Southern Arizona, providing a place to walk, hike or ride. Minutes away from the desert are large waterfalls with minor bridges constructed over them. Wildlife in the canyon includes deer, javelina, skunks, tortoises, rattlesnakes and mountain lions.


Cactus Ramadas (picnic areas)

The Cactus Ramadas are part of the Sabino Canyon Recreational Area, an extremely popular place for both tourists and locals. The Ramadas themselves are reservable and serve as group picnic sites, accommodating up to 45 people. They also offer hiking and horseback riding.

Overlook Picnic Area

Overlook Picnic Area is appropriately named, as it offers an amazing view of the Gila River canyon and nearby mountain ranges. Besides the view, the area offers picnic space with tables, grills, paved sidewalk, ramadas, as well as wildlife viewing.

David Rubio Volleyball Camps

The Camps bear the signature of head coach David Rubio, who personally direct each camp session, an approach that has made him one of the most successful coaches in the nation. The Camps are a great place for players of all levels and offer several learning programs.

La Encantada (shopping center)

La Encantada is an upscale, outdoor shopping center owned by Westcor. It opened in 2004 as the only luxury shopping center in the Tucson region. The center was designed in a Spanish, hacienda style and construction began in 2002. By 2003, more than 80% of the center was leased.

The first phase opened with AJ's Fine Foods, Ann Taylor, Anthropologie, Apple Store, Coach, Cole Haan, Crate & Barrel, Lucky Brand Jeans, and Pottery Barn. Phase II established the center as the premiere shopping destination in Tucson, landing a score of first luxury stores for the region. BCBG Max Azria, Brooks Brothers, Brooks Brothers Country Club, Louis Vuitton, Sigrid Olsen, St. John, and Tiffany & Co.
