Coronado High School is a public high school in Henderson, Nevada, part of Clark County School District. The school was named after Francisco Vásquez de Coronado, a Spanish conquistador.
Many different AP classes are offered to students, ranging from Computer Science to U.S. History and Chemistry to Psychology. About 40 percent go to four year colleges and 30 percent enter two year community colleges after graduating senior year.
The school offers a wide number of extracurricular activities, including: Student Council, performing groups such as choir, guitar and orchestra, cheerleading, DJ/Producer Club, A Capella Club, Forensics, Environmental Club, Coronado Film Institutde and many others.
