Top 20 Neighborhood Amenities in Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV

Summerlin is one of Las Vegas' newest and most popular neighborhoods, a master-planned area which is constantly being developed. I've composed this guide to give newcomers to the area an overview of Summerlin's main amenities, such as parks, hospitals, shops, and others.

Red Rock Casino Resort Spa

The resort includes a 198 ft (60 m) hotel tower with 815 rooms, spa, 94,000 sq ft (8,700 m2) of meeting space, slot machines, table games, a 16 screen Regal Cinemas movie theater, a bingohall, a 3 acres (1.2 ha) pool area, a bowling alley as well as eleven restaurants. The tower is the second tallest in Summerlin after One Queensridge Place.

Some scenes from the 2008 feature film 21 were shot at the Red Rock and the casino's exterior and interior are recognizably featured in the movie.

Summerlin Hospital Medical Center

Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is the largest hospital in the area, it also recently completed an expansion adding a six-story tower that contains 173 additional private patient rooms, an expanded emergency room and pediatric emergency room. The hospital employs 1,500 employees and 1,600 physicians.

Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission, is licensed by the state of Nevada's Department of Health and is a member of the American Hospital Association, the Federation of American Hospitals, the Association of Western Hospitals and the Nevada Hospital Association.

Complex Care Hospital Tenaya

Complex Care Hospital Tenaya specializes in the treatment of medically complex patients who require extended hospitalization.
The hospital offers 70 licensed beds, many of which are private. Patients are the first priority at Complex Care, the hospital staff is dedicated to offering their patients the best chance at recovery from acute injury or illness.

A few of the services offered: 24-hour onsite physician care, ventilator weaning, advanced wound care program, hemo and peritoneal dialysis, cardiac monitoring.

MountainView Hospital

MountainView Hospital has been serving the local community since 1996. It is currently a state-of-the-art, full-service medical facility which employes over 2500 people, of which 1200 are physicians. The hospital is recognized for top quality service and patient satisfaction.

Summerlin Library

The Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center is operated by the Las Vegas Clark County Library District. The center covers over 40,000 sq.ft. and houses more than 130 volumes, an art gallery, a performing arts center, conference rooms, a multi-media department and a technology center.

AMC Rainbow Promenade 10 (cinema)

The AMC Rainbow Promenade 10 is a classic theatre and although it may have seen better days, it is still keeping up with the times. The building itself may be old, but the movies are all last minute and the prices are lower than most other places. AMC is also constantly upgrading the movie presentation, including a conversion to digital projection, 3D movies and more large-screen formats like IMAX and AMC’s proprietary ETX experience.

Nevada Ballet Theatre

Nevada Ballet Theatre is one of Nevada's oldest performing venues, as well as one of the largest. Located in Vegas, the theatre counts as one of the city's true community centers and is valued for its heritage and role in the city's cultural development. The theatre's company consists of a group of versatile, professional dancers with a strong focus on dance education and improvement.

The Donald W. Reynolds Cultural Center

The Donald W. Reynolds Cultural Center, is a 36,000-square-foot facility focused on the art of music and dance. The center offers six dance studios with pianos and spring floors, and a seventh studio with tap tiles that enhance acoustics. In addition, the center offers a fully-equipped Pilates studio.

Canyon Pointe (Shopping Center)

Canyon Pointe is a major shopping center in Summerlin, it covers 62 acres and offers over 600,000 square feet of retail and dining space. The center is home to numerous brands, among which - Best Buy, Borders, Costco, Lowes, Marshall’s, Office Depot, Bed Bath and beyond, Burger king, Islands, Olive Garden, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Agave Mexican Restaurant, and Pei Wei.

Tivoli Village (Shopping Center)

The Tivoli Village is a popular shopping and dinning destination, offering an impressive mix of retailers, from world known luxury brands to unique local boutiques, and top notch restaurants. Brands found at Tivoli Village count amongst them - AI BIJOUX, Ritual Salon & SPA, View Wine Bar & Kitchen, Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, Brio Tuscan Grille.

Pavilion Center Pool

The Pavilion Center Pool offers a 1150 sq.ft. indoor pool, featuring retractable walls and roof, several diving boards, shaded party area, tables with umbrellas and chairs, lockers, pool toys, and more. The pool is available for birthday parties and pool rentals, group swimming lessons, private and semi-private swimming lessons, water polo, swim team, synchronized swimming team and diving.

Family Fun Center

The Family Fun Center hosts Birthday Parties, Corporate Challenges, Events & Parties. It offers 7000 sq.ft. of birthday party & corporate event space, restaurant, arcade, & rides. It offers the only Gran Prix and sprint GoKarts and tracks in Nevada.

TPC Las Vegas (golf)

TPC (Tournament Players Club) Las Vegas is a top ranked golf course, formerly the TPC Canyons, it was rated by Golf Digest as one of the “Best Places to Play.” It is set in a beautiful natural area, on the backdrop of the Red Rock Canyon, and is also considered one of the most elegant and beautiful courses in Nevada. The course is a PGA TOUR property and is a top destinations for celebrities and PGA TOUR players.

Badlands Golf Club

Summerlin is home to one of Vegas' best golfing venues, the Badlands Golf Club. The club features three uniquely designed courses, the Desperado, Diablo and Outlaw. These 9-hole layouts were designed by Johnny Miller and Chi Chi Rodriguez, both award winning players.

Arbors Tennis & Play Park

The Arbors Tennis and Play Park is home to the Summerlin Tennis Club, a pro club offering both adult and youth tennis programs. The club features five outdoor lighted tennis courts and a pro shop.

The park also features a charming miniature version of Summerlin, called “Arborville”, a wonderful place for toddlers to play.

Pueblo Park

Part of the the Pueblo village, the Pueblo Park is a 60 acre, linear park. It is an excellent place for walkers, joggers and skaters, offering more than enough space to get lost in for hours. The Pueblo Park is considered one of the most beautiful areas in Las Vegas. Besides the acres of green, the park also features picnic ramadas, children’s play areas, jogging trails, a full-court basketball, and a desert interpretive garden.

Paseos Park

Paseos Park is a 12-acre community park that includes junior soccer/T-ball fields, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, an interactive water play area, a motorized toy play area, picnic pavilions and open turf areas. The park is located at the center of The Paseos village and can be reached by a linear park that traverses the village from north to south.

The Trails Park and Pool

The Trails Park is one of the busiest parks in Summerlin with a lighted baseball field and two lighted softball fields that serve as the home of the Summerlin Little League. The 14.6-acre park is also home to The Trails Community Center, a swimming pool, wading pool, interactive water play area, basketball court, meadow, children’s play areas, and a linear trail featuring majestic views of the Red Rocks.

The Hills Park

This 7-acre park features a large central picnic pavilion, open lawn amphitheater and stage, children’s play area, two lighted tennis courts, sand volleyball court, half basketball court and seven picnic ramadas.

Doc Romeo Park

The park's area is approximately 30 acres, the amenities include: eight baseball/Softball Fields, two 60ft youth baseball fields, two youth softball fields, three multipurpose youth/adult softball fields, one 90ft youth/adult baseball field, a Skate Park, two Playgrounds, Concession Stand, and Restroom Facility.
