Top 19 Recreation Venues in Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV

Summerlin is considered to be one of the most beautiful, master planned communities in the country. Located just ten miles off The Strip, it is also one of Las Vegas' newest neighborhoods. Summerlin has all the amenities needed, some of Nevada's best recreational facilities, shopping and schools can be found here. This guide will help you locate and explore some of the greatest recreation sites in the area.

Arbors Tennis & Play Park

The Arbors Tennis and Play Park is home to the Summerlin Tennis Club, a pro club offering both adult and youth tennis programs. The club features five outdoor lighted tennis courts and a pro shop.
The park also features a charming miniature version of Summerlin, called “Arborville”, a wonderful place for toddlers to play.

Cottonwood Canyon

Cottonwood Canyon is a linear park situated within a natural wash and runs the length of The Canyons Village. The park is lined with trails which form one of the most popular trail areas in Summerlin, it is used by runners, strollers and roller-bladers alike.

The Hills Park

This 7-acre park features a large central picnic pavilion, open lawn amphitheater and stage, children’s play area, two lighted tennis courts, sand volleyball court, half basketball court and seven picnic ramadas.

South Tower Park

Located in The Vistas village, South Tower Park houses a spray basin, a picnic and barbecue area, two shaded play areas, open play areas, and restrooms.

Paseos Park

Paseos Park is a 12-acre community park that includes junior soccer/T-ball fields, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, an interactive water play area, a motorized toy play area, picnic pavilions and open turf areas. The park is located at the center of The Paseos village and can be reached by a linear park that traverses the village from north to south.

Pueblo Park

Part of the the Pueblo village, the Pueblo Park is a 60 acre, linear park. It is an excellent place for walkers, joggers and skaters, offering more than enough space to get lost in for hours. The Pueblo Park is considered one of the most beautiful areas in Las Vegas. Besides the acres of green, the park also features picnic ramadas, children’s play areas, jogging trails, a full-court basketball, and a desert interpretive garden.

Tree Top Park

This 5.2-acre park is in The Arbors village and features two T-ball fields, a picnic pavilion and a children’s play area.

The Trails Park and Pool

The Trails Park is a 14.6-acre park in the heart of Summerlin. The park is one of the busiest parks in the area, featuring two softball fields, a baseball field and being the home of the Summerlin Little League. The Trails Community Center is also located in the park, it offers a basketball court, meadow, swimming pool, wading pool, and children’s play areas.

The Vistas Park

The Vistas Park includes two lighted 60′ baseball/softball fields, a lighted football field, two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, a group picnic pavilion, several barbeque araes, a shaded children’s play area, and restrooms.

Doc Romeo Park

The park's area is approximately 30 acres, the amenities include: eight baseball/Softball Fields, two 60ft youth baseball fields, two youth softball fields, three multipurpose youth/adult softball fields, one 90ft youth/adult baseball field, a Skate Park, two Playgrounds, Concession Stand, and Restroom Facility.

TPC golf

TPC (Tournament Players Club) Las Vegas is a top ranked golf course, formerly the TPC Canyons, it was rated by Golf Digest as one of the “Best Places to Play.” It is set in a beautiful natural area, on the backdrop of the Red Rock Canyon, and is also considered one of the most elegant and beautiful courses in Nevada. The course is a PGA TOUR property and is a top destinations for celebrities and PGA TOUR players.

Angel Park Golf Club

Angel Park is considered by most players as the best and most complete golfing experience in Vegas. It was also voted the best golf course for fourteen of the last fifteen years by the readers of the "Best of Last Vegas" review journal. Angel Park offers its players thirty six holes of professional course and the unique Cloud Nine Short Course, which features replicas of the twelve most famous golf holes in the world. The Cloud Nine course is also lighted and available for night-play.

Badlands Golf Club

Summerlin is home to one of Vegas' best golfing venues, the Badlands Golf Club. The club features three uniquely designed courses, the Desperado, Diablo and Outlaw. These 9-hole layouts were designed by Johnny Miller and Chi Chi Rodriguez, both award winning players.

Highland Falls Golf Club

Highland Falls is a golf course sitting at more than 3000 feet above sea level. It offers an incredible view of the Las Vegas strip and surrounding area. Besides the view, the course also offers a very rich eighteen hole course, fun and challenging at the same time. (par-72, 6,512 yards, rating/slope 70.1/119)

Palm Valley Golf Course

Palm Valley is part of the Golf Summerlin club, it is also their longest and most challenging course. The fairways are lined with pine trees and are quite straight forward, allowing for an easy game. However, it is the greens that make this course tricky, putting is quite a challenge on this course.

Eagle Crest Golf Course

Eagle Crest golf course is built into the side of a mountain, giving players an amazing view of the city and surrounding landscapes. The course is rated as a executive, however due to the location and landscape, it poses quite a challenge and pushes players to the max at every step.

Terry Cavaretta Trapeze Experience

The venue offers experience for all levels, whether you are a novice, intermediate or experienced acrobat. From a knee hang to a quadruple somersault. The coaches are experienced professionals, including the founder Terry Cavaretta, hailed as the Greatest Female Flyer in history. Come and have some fun or learn how to become a trapeze artist.

Family Fun Center

The Family Fun Center hosts Birthday Parties, Corporate Challenges, Events & Parties. It offers 7000 sq.ft. of birthday party & corporate event space, restaurant, arcade, & rides. It offers the only Gran Prix and sprint GoKarts and tracks in Nevada.

Pavilion Center Pool

The Pavilion Center Pool offers a 1150 sq.ft. indoor pool, featuring retractable walls and roof, several diving boards, shaded party area, tables with umbrellas and chairs, lockers, pool toys, and more. The pool is available for birthday parties and pool rentals, group swimming lessons, private and semi-private swimming lessons, water polo, swim team, synchronized swimming team and diving.
