Top 10 Neighborhood Amenities in Los Angeles-West Hollywood, California

Walkability score in the 90s, central to downtown LA & Santa Monica, home to the Sunset Strip, popular bars/restaurants/entertainment.

West Hollywood Library

This is a beautiful library with a variety of resources for the community. There are computers and office equipment for public use and comfortable seating with views overlooking the colorful west hollywood landmark, The Pacific Design Center. They often feature local artists, have a children's center as well as career counseling and job placement services offered by the JVS. It is wonderful to have such a great resource in the community!

Laugh Factory

One of the country's most famous comedy clubs! Many hollywood comedians launched their careers here and some still return to this day. Located in the mix of the Sunset Strip nightlife, stop in nearby restaurants and bars after to continue to let the good times roll! You are guaranteed to have a great laugh!

Canter's Deli

Family owned business that has been around for decades! This restaurant/deli is open 24 hours, who doesn't love that?!? They have a great selection and some of the best Matzo Ball Soup in town! Located on Fairfax in the Fairfax District, you can't beat the location close to Melrose and the Grove. I know many people who drive all the way from Orange County for their Canter's fix.

Located on the famous Sunset Strip, the Skybar is located in the Mondrian Hotel. The views are spectacular and I have watched many sunsets and the twinkling lights of the city with a great cocktail in hand. The sunny California days, which are practically year round, are best spent poolside here. Many A list celebrities frequent this venue so you may even spot one of your favorites.

West Holly Wood City Hall

West Hollywood's City Hall is easily accessible to the community and offers a variety of services to it's inhabitants. They support local businesses and work diligently to continue to make West Hollywood a great community to reside in. They are constantly working to improve facilities.

One of the many options for grocery shopping in West Hollywood. I also frequent Pavilions (on Robertson), Trader Joe's (Sunset Boulevard), Bristol Farms (Sunset Boulevard), Whole Foods (Farifax and Santa Monica Boulevard). What I really like about Ralphs is that I can use my Ralph's Reward Card, Ralphs app to find special deals and if you still clip coupons, get those double discounts. Remember, west hollywood does not permit the use plastic bags (yay for helping the environment) and they now charge for paper bags, so please remember to bring your reusable grocery bags.

24 Hour Fitness

Fitness is definitely a part of the west hollywood lifestyle! Although there are many options for gyms, yoga, pilates, indoor cycling, climbing, cross fit and much more, 24 hour fitness offers cost effective membership plans. It is conveniently located on Santa Monica Boulevard in the heart of WeHo. I often see many friends/clients/colleagues coming and going from their workouts as I walk down the Blvd and in many local restaurants, like Fresh Corn Grill, after getting their sweat on.

Chateau Marmont

One of my favorite places in Los Angeles and on the Sunset Strip. I love the history and old hollywood glamor that the Chateau exudes. I am a regular as they have great food, drinks and ambiance. It is one of the places to be and be seen!

Farmers Market

The Farmers Market is located at the Grove. There is a vast selection of food stands, grocery, specialty shops and restaurants in the Farmers Market. A few of my personal favorites are Loteria Grill, Monsieur Marcel and Bennett's Ice Cream. There is a movie theater and many retail stores including Barnes & Noble, The GAP, Barneys New York and Michael Kors to name a few also located within the Grove. If you make a purchase at the Farmers Market, parking will be validated.

Bloomingdales is located in the famous Beverly Center shopping mall. Although most retail shopping in Los Angeles in known for famous boutiques that line the streets of Melrose, Robertson and Rodeo Drive, it is nice to have a staple department store in the neighborhood. They too carry high end, popular designers such as Theory, Lovers and Friends, Ted Baker, Burberry, Marc Jacobs and many more and carry apparel for men, women and children. Ample parking in available in the structure and although they don't validate parking rates are $1 per hour for the first 4 hrs, $2 per hour there after and a max of $10. Of course Valet is always an option too. Happy Shopping!
