Spring Branch is a district in west-northwest Harris County, Texas, roughly bordered by Tanner Road and Hempstead Road to the north, Beltway 8 to the west, Interstate 10 to the south, and the 610 Loop to the east; it is almost entirely within the City of Houston. The district has access to Interstate 10, the 610 Loop, Beltway 8, and the Hempstead Highway. It lies within proximity to Downtown Houston, the Energy Corridor, the Memorial City District (including Memorial City Mall and the Memorial Hermann Hospital Memorial City), the Texas Medical Center, Uptown Houston (including The Galleria), and Westchase.

Studio Movie Grill

The place shows a variety of classic & kids' movies in a combination with varied American menu & cocktails delivered to the guests' seats. The office chairs are a pleasant break from the usual movie theater chairs. The local popcorn is always fresh, much as their Heineken.

99 Ranch Market

This supermarket chain specializes in Asian food imports such as meat, seafood & baked items. On offer here is a wide choice of fish, muscles, scallops, lobsters and shrimp. Also available is a grand selection of Asian noodle soups, condiments, teas, vegetables, fruits and snacks. A true paradise for an Asian food aficionado!

Walmart Supercenter

If you ever thought you had a big Walmart near your place, think no more. This Texas-sized Walmart is really enormous and is named "Supercenter" for a variety of merchandise on offer - from low-price well-stocked grocery, to freshly baked chicken at the deli, in-house bakery, garden center, sporting goods, electronics and more. They also sell tires, furniture, fashion-wear and lots of other goods.

24 Hour Fitness

The gym itself is not that big, but has all the regular equipment, plus tons of free weights, for those who like it, a decent line up of cardio machines, and a yoga class. Despite the steady flow of people, the place never seems to get overly busy, since there're plenty of machines available to use. The locker area is clean and the staff are friendly. There's no shortage of parking space either, which makes it a good fitness option if you live in the area.

Texas Children's Pediatrics Memorial

This children's care center enjoys good reputation with the local parents, largely owing it to the professionalism of its staff - physicians, nurses, and office personnel alike. Despite popularity, the wait time here is not that long. But even if you do have to wait, the waiting area is fitted with fun play stations for older kids and a separate section for babies.

Agnes Moffitt Park

This is a community park which comprises three disk golf courses - one of which has NO WATER HAZARDS sign, which makes it a truly safe choice for beginners, plus football fields, basketball courts, swimming pool and more. There's also plenty of equipment to work out on. The space becomes particularly pretty in spring and summer when it gets all bright and green. One of the top outdoor spaces in town.

Nob Hill Park

This park is a nice green outdoor space with a lovely trail, sports field and a street parking lot close to different entrances. There is also a good playground frequented by hundreds of kids to enjoy themselves on a nice evening. With plenty of people around, you would definitely feel secure. A good place for families with kids and individuals seeking to work out in the lawn or walk/jog on the trail.

Tallowood Baptist Church

This Baptist Church is fairly popular with the locals. Its recovery program is said to be good and the staff supportive and friendly. The facilities are well maintained; there's a children's area that is new and nice, and a spacious parking lot. The chapel is beautiful and if you're in for a wedding ceremony, you will find Tallowood to be the right choice. Well worth checking out if you live in the area.

Spring Woods High School

This secondary school in Spring Branch is for 9-12 graders, and is affiliated with Spring Branch Independent School District. It has 140 teachers on staff, each serving the school for about 10 years. There are roughly 2,000 students at the school. Also, there is a special education division with 7 teachers and a group of 8 education aids.

Rainard School

Rainard is a private school for academically gifted kids. It offers an alternative style of teaching on a small, lovely campus, and provides some out of the ordinary summer programs, which puts Rainard among the best on the West Side. Its Summer Incitement Series comprises a variety of non-traditional learning experiences. The school is very accepting and promotes tolerance and friendship. The relaxed atmosphere caters well to the academically gifted by giving them a chance to thrive in the smaller classes with the needed individualized attention.

Home Source Furniture Warehouse

This is a showroom & warehouse which carries a lot of beautiful country-style furniture from Asia & Central America. The warehouse itself is quite fun to walk around in; note - there's a much bigger warehouse in the back. If you're on a treasure hunt, seeking some good bounty, this place is definitely worth the stop. There are hundreds of pieces on display and if you fancy antiquing, but don't quite feel like buying old or 2nd-hand stuff, the back room is where you should go to.

The Home Depot

This Home Depot outlet seems to have more in stock then the other HD locations elsewhere. In particular, they're quite big on pond equipment, unlike other hardware stores that generally don't carry much of these items year round. The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly, and you can find a lot here with no hassle whatsoever.

Rooms To Go Kids Furniture Store - Memorial Mall, Houston

This retail chain specializes in home furniture, decor & mattresses, with customized locations for kids' stuff. What distinguishes this particular place is that their products are value for money. The selection of merchandise is quite decent too. The quality of the materials used seem just as good and, in their new condition, everything seems rather solid and sturdy.

Sports Authority Sporting Goods

This chain store carries a stock of sportswear, equipment & accessories, plus outdoor recreation equipment. The location is huge and its service seems quite adequate, courtesy of the very helpful personnel. Check out the local paper for a 20% coupon, so you don't leave empty-handed. Also, you can sign up for a free member card and get a 5% discount on your next purchase, plus add some points towards other bonuses.

Renowned for its trendiness, this retail chain specializes in casual wear & accessories for young adults (including kids, on occasion). The location is nice in visual display and the serving personnel are quite friendly and helpful. The offered selection is vast. The dressing room are simply adorable.

Lowe's Home Improvement

This location is reputed for its most helpful employees who seem to know everything about home improvement, which is quite handy if you yourself don't. The store is well stocked and is usually not too crowded. Another plus is that it sits next to Costco. Big score!

At this department store you will find brand-name attire, accessories, home furnishings & housewares in substantial variety. Perhaps, one of the best selections of all the Macy's in Houston. The footwear selection is great. Visits are recommended on Tuesday through Friday, as Saturdays are usually packed.

Old Navy

This is the place to go shopping for affordable casual clothing designs - from jeans to skirts to dresses, plus fun accessories and more - all of which are cute, fresh, hip, and reliable. The selection is big and growing. Although situated in a crowded mall, you will be pleasantly surprised to find this location not so packed, even on weekends, and be able to shop without bumping into folks. The place is clean and well stocked, and the staff are helpful.

Sun & Ski

Anything one might possibly need for snowboarding, skiing, biking or hiking can be found here, plus tonnes of other outdoor gear for men, women & kids. They stock up a pretty good selection of all the name brands. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for beginner/intermediate items. Pretty good bike selection as well. The customer service is rated 5 stars by many accounts.

Cinemark Memorial City

This is a multiple screen cinema complex with all-stadium seats & self-service ticket counters. The place is clean and reasonably priced, particularly the $5.50 special deal on Tuesday. Each theater is cozy and small, and is fitted with comfortable seats with lifted armrests which is quite useful for those coming with a baby. A great place to enjoy a good movie!
