Grand Haven, home of the world's largest musical fountain, is a great little beach community. The downtown rests on the Grand River which empties into Lake Michigan. You can walk from the downtown all along the boardwalk out to the beach and legendary lighthouse. The area boasts great school systems, industry/jobs and the beautiful white sandy beaches of Lake Michigan.

Downtown Shopping District

Downtown Grand Haven centers around Washington Street which runs from US-31 to the waterfront. There are many unique shops and eateries on this strip and is host to many special activities in the town.

Waterfront Stadium & The Musical Fountain

The world's largest musical fountain can be found in Grand Haven, Michigan! Nightly at dusk from Memorial Day to Labor Day, you can enjoy a show at Waterfront Stadium.

Chinook Pier - Charter Fishing

Charter boats are docked along Chinook Pier. These boats take clients out into Lake Michigan to fish for King Salmon and other large fish. In the evening, you can watch the fisherman clean their catch at the outdoor fish cleaning station.

Mulligan's Hollow Area

Mulligan's Hollow is an area that is dedicated to family fun. There is a snowboarding/sledding hill with tow ropes to enjoy in the winter and a skate park to enjoy in the warmer months. The YFCA is also located here. Many special local activities such as outdoor concerts and the January Winter Festival happen here.

Grand Haven State Park

Grand Haven State Park is the jewel of the town. The riverside boardwalk ends at the beautiful red lighthouse and catwalks. There are white sandy beaches where you can spend the day swimming and relaxing in the sun. Campsites are available for an extended stay but, tend to fill up quickly since they are right on the beach. Visitors can watch a vibrant game of beach volleyball as teams can be seen playing on the pristine sand. Summer bliss!

Grand Haven Lighthouse

Grand Haven's Lighthouse and catwalk is a landmark. It's bright red structures and beaming light guide boats into the Grand River up to the town of Grand Haven. It is a perfect place to grab a sunset and enjoy a hot summer night.


The Grand Haven Boardwalk runs 1.5 miles along the Grand River from Chinnook Pier out to the town jewel...The light house! Along the journey, you will pass marinas, eateries, Waterfront Stadium, charter boats and beautiful views. It is a nightly favorite of both locals and visitors alike to walk the boardwalk.

Rosy Mound Natural Area Park

Rosy Mound Park is a wonderful example of pristine Lake Michigan beauty. Here you will be able to experience the dune system that includes high dunes, fore dunes and a dune blow out. There are many hiking trails, picnic areas, swimming and of course, great sunsets!

Snug Harbor Restaurant & Pronto Pups

Snug Harbor Restaurant is a favorite along the riverfront with beautiful views and great food. Many love to sit out on the decks and enjoy a summer cocktail as they watch the boats go by. It was built around a Grand Haven institution...Pronto Pups. Pronto Pups is a tiny establishment that has been selling fresh corn dogs since 1947 and usually has patrons lined up a dozen deep. Both eateries are incredible!

Bill Mar Restaurant

The Bil-Mar Restaurant has the ultimate location. It is directly on the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. You will have incredible views and great food. Menu consists of many delicious entrees. There is also the Pirates Den Bar which serves some lighter fare.

US Coast Guard Station

Grand Haven is proud to be Coast Guard City, USA. It has a lakeside facility and is home of the All American Coast Guard Festival that celebrates the service of these heros every summer with all kinds of festivities. Come celebrate with us!
