Unity Church opens their doors and welcomes one and all to their services and events.
I often visit their "Twice Blessed Thrift Store" as well as their their Book Store; both located on site.
Conveniently located off Diamond Head Circle and Monsarrat Avenue.

Honolulu Zoo

The Honolulu Zoo is located between Waikiki and Diamond Head. It is a small home to a variety of animals that mingle together. In the summer they have evening concerts with local entertainers; so pack your picnic. A day at the zoo is never dull!
It is open daily from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Barefoot Beach Cafe

Located on the walkway from Waikiki to the Gold Coast this beach café is in the perfect location for dining on the water at a very reasonable cost. Breakfast on local grinds. Lunch local fresh fish. Evening bar-b-que at sunset with live entertainment.
Hours are from 7:00 AM - 8:30 PM.

Waikiki Aquarium

Both indoor and outdoor exhibitions the Waikiki Aquarium is located on the coast of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I nice representation of local aquatic flora and fauna.
Hours of operation are 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM 7 days a week. Closes at 5:00 PM daily with special hours on holidays.
Lawn area can be rented for weddings, luaus and other special events.

Kapiolani Park

Created by King Kalakaua in the 1870's this beautiful Historic 500-acre park has trees that date back over 100 years. It is the site of historic, world famous Diamond Head, Waikiki Shell where many concerts and shows have been held over the years. It hosts many outdoor activities such as soccer fields, rugby, archery range, tennis courts and a wonderful place to sit and read or walk and jog. When the shower trees are in bloom it is exceptionally beautiful.
Park is closed from Midnight - 5:00 AM
Meter and free parking available.

Waikiki Shell

Waikiki Shell is a very unique venue for outdoor concerts. It is a magnificent facility that is shaped like a giant shell. You will find no other setting to match this with it's view of Diamond Head and star filled skies. There is lawn seating that can accommodate 6,000. Chairs seating of 1958 and a theater style seating of 505. The ultimate in outdoor concert venues.

Hau Tree Lanai

One of Hawaii's best kept secrets! Ocean front dining at it's best. Fronted by a beautiful sandy beach called San Souci which in French means "without worry". It has been nominal as Best Outdoor Dining.
Breakfast with eggs benedict or poi pancakes from 7:00 AM - 10:45 AM.
Lunch is filled with sandwiches, salads, pastas and fresh fish from 11:45 AM - 2:00 PM.
Dinner preparation ranges from traditional American to Asian inspired. 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Chef Rene Caba is the best!
Dine beneath the ancient Hau Trees where Robert Louis Stevenson wrote as he soaked in the ambience.

Farmers Market

Every Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM there is a Farmers Market in the parking lot across from the Zoo on Monsarrat and Paki Avenue. From 'farm to table' there are vendors with fresh vegetables, fruit, flowers, and fish. A variety of local produce directly from their farms. A different experience than shopping in a supermarket. It will last only one hour so be sure to get there early before the whistle blows.

Diamond Head State Park

Climb this trail and hike to the top of world famous Diamond Head Crater. This 45-60 minute hike leads you to some of the most fantastic, breathtaking views of the island of Oahu. It's picture perfect and worth the effort.
Trail is open from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm daily.
It cost only $1.00 per person and an additional $5.00 to park your car.
It is a strenuous workout so bring water and definitely wear proper shoes a hat and sunscreen. Don't miss out!
