Top 12 Venice Neighborhood Amenities

Venice Beach is one of the most visited beaches in the world. It was founded by Tobacco mogul, Abbott Kinney around 1895. With a resort town in mind, He designed Venice after his visit to Venice, Italy. Venice was complete with canals, gondolas and bridges in addition to the roller coaster on the pier. The canals were truly a sight to see and convenient for the time, since cars were still a rare purchase. As the car became more popular, many of the canals were filled in to make roads and the townspeople were in an uproar. Today, the remaining canals and boardwalk give Venice a unique charm. Venice recently has been dubbed "Silicon Beach" and properties in the area are in higher demand than ever. There are several sub areas of Venice and each has it's own personality. There are the Canals, Windward Circle, Milwood Trapezoid, Silver Triangle, President's Row, Oakwood Pentagon, East of Lincoln and the Beach. This guide will help you navigate through the many shops, restaurants and attraction throughout Venice.
