It is a community of approximately 24,000, connected to other Bay Area cities through Highway 24, Interstate 680 and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). The community has attracted many young professionals over the years because of its charm and award winning schools. Diablo Blvd. Despite new developments and new housing constructions, Lafayette has retained its old charm and rural atmosphere.

Top 10 Neighborhood Amenities in the Town of Moraga, CA

Moraga, a small community of approximately 16,000, is an affluent, suburban family oriented town. It is nestled in the hills south of Lafayette and Orinda, with only two main roads leading into town. Moraga is not particularly close to the freeway or any BART stations. It requires a 10-15 minute drive to get to the freeway which makes it more attractive as it is considered a safe and quiet place to live. There is public transit from Moraga to the Orinda and Lafayette BART stations. Travel time to Oakland and Berkeley is 20-25 minutes, and to San Francisco is 35-45 minutes. The town has three major parks which consist of 40 acres of land. These parks offer a variety of activities for Moragans to enjoy. There is an abundance of hiking trails around Moraga and the hillsides offer some of the most scenic landscape in Contra Costa County. The town is known for its excellent schools, and the schools consistently record some of the county's highest test scores in all grades. Like most family towns, parents spend a great deal of time taking the children to events and activities, including sports and music. Eighty-four percent of all residences are single family homes. Moraga is my home too where I moved with my family 23 years ago. My boys greatly benefited from its great schools and also were fully involved in swimming, waterpolo, music, soccer, and basketball which helped them with their self confidence and character building.
